We are a growing housing association based in Nottinghamshire seeking reliable and skilled Electricians and Plumbers to join our Property Maintenance team ASAP!
This is a multi-trade role covering supported housing properties across Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas. As well as electrical and plumbing qualifications, possessing Gas Safe registration is highly desirable and will attract a higher salary.
Main duties
- Perform routine, reactive and installation maintenance across ALL properties with a primary focus on electrical and plumbing work, including but not limited to:
- Electrical installations, repairs, testing, fault-finding and certification (including EICRs where qualified)
- Plumbing installations, repairs, drainage, bathrooms, hot & cold water systems
- Gas work only if currently Gas Safe registered (boiler servicing, CP12s, installations etc.)
- Supporting multi-trade tasks: joinery, painting & decorating, basic fabric repairs
- Conduct inspections, prioritise work and troubleshoot issues
- Liaise with residents, support staff and contractors
- Maintain accurate records and upload certificates / job reports
- Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and organisational standards
Experience
- Strong electrical and/or plumbing skills (highly required)
- Proven multi-trade or general building background
- Good communication and customer-service skills
Essential
- OWN VAN/VEHICLE (essential)
- Own set of comprehensive tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Proficient written and spoken English
- Relevant electrical and/or plumbing qualifications / experience
Desirable
- Current Gas Safe registration + relevant ACS (attracts higher salary)
- NICEIC / NAPIT (or equivalent) registration and/or 2391 inspection & testing
- Experience in social housing, supported housing or HMOs
- Additional qualifications (unvented hot water, smart controls, etc.)
