We are a growing housing association based in Nottinghamshire seeking a reliable and proactive Housing Management Officer to join our team ASAP!

Purpose of the role

This role exists to ensure our residents receive high-quality housing management support, maintain tenancy sustainment across our portfolio of supported housing, HMOs, temporary accommodation and residential properties, and protect the organisation’s assets through effective casework and compliance.

• Manage a portfolio of supported housing tenancies from sign-up to tenancy end.
• Complete tenancy sign-ups, reviews, property inspections and tenancy audits.
• Promote tenancy sustainment by supporting residents to meet their tenancy obligations.
• Monitor rent accounts, manage arrears and agree appropriate repayment plans.
• Investigate tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour and resident complaints.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, void works and property turnarounds.
• Ensure properties remain safe, compliant and meet all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate tenancy, property and case records.
• Work closely with support staff, landlords, contractors, local authorities and partner agencies.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns in line with organisational procedures.
• Comply with relevant legislation, organisational policies and health and safety requirements.
• Contribute to service improvements, audits and quality assurance activities.

• Experience in housing management, supported housing or a similar housing-related role.
• Experience managing tenancies, property inspections and resident casework.
• Experience working with vulnerable adults or people with complex needs.
• Experience managing rent accounts, arrears or tenancy enforcement.
• Good knowledge of housing management principles, safeguarding and relevant legislation.
• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

• CIH Level 3 or equivalent housing qualification.
• Experience within supported housing, exempt accommodation or HMOs.
• Knowledge of Housing Benefit, Universal Credit or HMO licensing.
• Experience working with local authorities, landlords and partner agencies.
• Mental Health First Aid or other relevant training.
